A New Sculpture Garden

Now I am terrified at the earth! it is that calm and patient, It grows such sweet things out of such corruptions, It turns harmless and stainless on its axis, with such endless successions of diseas’d corpses, It distils such exquisite winds
out of such infused fetor, It renews with such unwitting looks its prodigal, annual, sumptuous crops, It gives such divine materials to men and accepts such leavings from them at last.

The new Sculpture Garden's design has been copied-and-pasted from corporate America's fetish for "open floor plans" and its former "enchanted labyrinth" charm has been entirely lost to pretentious minimalism. Also, who thought it'd be a good idea to remove the buffer (the trees and foliage) between the garden and one of the worst intersections in Minneapolis? Closing the conservatory? Yeah, great move. I'm willing to bet this was a cost cutting measure or a deterrent to stop homeless people from hanging out around the park. This city is becoming as snobbish and sanitized as Seattle.
