ASSASSIN’S CREED (FACE & NMM) / ASSASSIN’S CREED (CARA Y NMM) – AG
Today is the grand finale. Today we will finish everything. Today we will become true painters Today’s objective to learn how to paint the face and NMM First – we put all of the colors on to the wet palette I can’t stress how important it is that you use a wet palette as it keep the colors fresh and ready to go We put BLACK (70.950) Now RED LEATHER (70.818) It is crucial to shake the bottles up properly The next one is CORK BROWN (70.843) SUNNY SKIN TONE (70.845) – an excellent color for painting flesh Next color is LIGHT FLESH (70.928) which we will use to add the final touches to the flesh And finally DARK VERMILLION (70.947) which we will use to add some depth to the face I will use a size 00 brush from the brand ARTIS OPUS I added a little bit of water to the CORK BROWN (70.843) and I started applying the base color Crucial to apply a thin layer, let it dry, and then repeat this way we will get a proper result Here it is the final result Now I will apply a wash to achieve more definition on the flesh I will use BLACK (70.950) and RED LEATHER (70.818) We will make a mixture, add some water to thin it down more than we normally would And I will apply it to the flesh Where? Just on the separation between the flesh and the hood between the eyes, and the mouth Thus we achieve the definition we are looking for Here you can see the final result Here there are two brushes – size 00 and 000 I will use the 000 because the face is small and I need a fine brush Next I will mix the first highlight I will use CORK BROWN (70.843) a bit of RED LEATHER (70.818) and I add some drops of water The paint has to flow very well I apply the first highlight on the nasal bridge On the upper part of the cheeks The trick is to apply the first brushstroke on the upper area of the cheeks and blend it down later That’s how we’re going to get a good transition I recommend you to apply the first highlight layer, let it dry, and then repeat The more layers you add, the stronger the color will become – you will notice it I mean, the pure color, almost the color straight from the bottle If we apply a very thin layer, it will lose intensity later I must continue to stress this point We apply a layer, let it dry, and apply a new one thus we will achieve a stronger color I keep applying more highlight layers Here you can see the final result Second highlight I add a bit of SUNNY SKIN TONE (70.845) to the previous mixture and a little bit of LIGHT FLESH (70.928) And I apply the next highlight layer Where? In the previous areas but reducing the highlight surface If I applied a highlight on the nasal bridge, now we just highlight half of it The same on the cheeks if I applied the highlight from the upper cheeks and dragged it down now we just highlight half of it, closer to the eye I also mark the lower lip With this highlight we will define even more of the face Also with BLACK (70.950) and RED LEATHER (70.818) I will define the beard a little Notice I am only using the tip of the brush the face is tiny and we have to be extremely accurate Once the beard is defined we will add a bit more light to it I add a bit of LIGHT FLESH (70.928) Here you can see the final result The base color for the beard is BLACK (70.950) and to highlight it I take a bit of BLACK (70.950) and LIGHT FLESH (70.928) and the mixture I make will be a gray color I will highlight it with ittle dots and lines, so as to give the beard texture We add light touches to achieve such a cool texture on the beard And here you can see the final result I will paint the metallic parts with the NMM technique For this I will put all the colors on the wet palette The first color is BLACK (70.950) The next one is BLACK GREY (70.862) WHITE (70.951) It is also crucial to shake the bottles properly And finally DARK PRUSSIAN BLUE (70.899) With this color we will add some different tones to the metal Now I will paint the first and second highlight at once As the base color is a dark one (which is BLACK (70.950) I will start applying BLACK GREY (70.862) with the brush sideways to pre-illuminate the areas with more volume I mean, with the brush sideways, I will apply the highlights on the upper areas Leaving the deepest areas without highlights I go ahead, little by little and the more layers I apply – the stronger the color Next I add a little bit of WHITE (70.951) and I define the edges It is crucial to properly define all the parts when painting NMM Same thing on the belt buckle, I use the side of the brush to apply the next highlight Here you can see the final result I will apply a wash to the NMM For this I take a bit of DARK PRUSSIAN BLUE (70.899), BLACK GREY (70.862) and I will make the mixture by adding some water I will apply this wash on the NMM areas By doing this, we will get definition and we also clean up a bit the visible brushstrokes And it will enrich the final result – especially the NMM It is a controlled wash I apply the wash and drag it down to the part where I want that particular tone This is important – I apply the wash, let it dry, and then repeat Here you can see the final result And the last highlight is with WHITE (70.951) We will apply these points of light and definition to certain parts We have to be very accurate Use the side of the brush and let’s apply the strongest highlight So we are going to make this metal shine more As you can see there are soft touches in order to get more definition And here you can see the final result Hi guys!
