Haunting Underwater Sculptures Combine Art & Conservation

COMM: Museo Atlantico is the first underwater contemporary art museum in Europe and the
Atlantic Ocean. COMM: British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, is installing the first phase of sculptures
in the unique permanent exhibition located 14 meters beneath the surface. COMM: The project was funded and supported by the government of Lanzarote, and as well
as being artistic instillation, it will also create a large-scale artificial reef benefitting
the local marine life. COMM: The museum will be open to visitors from the 25th February, 2016 and will be accessible
to the snorkelers and divers.

You ever think we're doing this to be dicks to future civilizations? Like oh hey we've found humanish looking remains from some probable volcanic activity that also submerged the entire area in water.. Oh my look at how they all just froze there, there's even a solidified boat, it must've been one hell of an eruption. For the sake of archaeology and oceanography we will not be touching these remains to find out if they're actually human or not.. The realism is truth enough. Therefore we'll make it into a super underwater museum! Because the sea level would've risen a lot by then.. Or lowered. Whatever I tried… Atlantis 2.0!

I think this would be good for memorials of shipwrecks since people would know where the wreck was and see the scale, for example I thought of the Titanic. If you could see all the people lost in the wreck, it'd shake almost anyone to their core. It's different seeing loads of statues and their faces opposed to a number.
