How to Draw a Crystal Pendant, Swarovski Style – With Color Pencils – Glass

Hello my friends and welcome
to another Tuesday of tutorial. I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today
we are going to draw a crystal pendant, I hope you like it! It will go from here to here,
we mark the size. Then we sketch the general shape,
similar to a drop. More or less like this. Then divide the pendant
in sections. I´ll draw a couple of triangles
to visualize the size. And on the lowest part, it will have a corner, rather than a continues
curved line, we want short straight ones. Here it will have a string
to hang it. Good! We are ready to start
with the color. We begin with a light gray,
then a medium one, a brownish one, a dark one,
and so many hues. It will have many facets
and each can reflect something different. Getting some white sparkles
that will standout. We correct the lines
as we go, as needed it. The top right area will have
larger bright reflections. Good! This is so fun! I love drawing so much! Here we draw other triangles,
some will be complete, and some will be subdivided with more colors. There is no specific rule
for this, as you go you can be making them up,
that´s one of the marvels of art to sketch your own path,
to create your own world. So that what is close to the edge,
contrast with the background we tend to use darker
or lighter tones, and no so much middle ones. Good! Some of the triangles
and shapes, will have different tones and
colors within them. In this way, we keep
advancing little by little, enjoying the process to
the end of the pendant. I want the lowest part
to have very bright spots. And to increase contrast
and life, we are going to give it more darks,
and more lights. Let´s do the red string,
and more detail. I like how it is coming. By the way the list of materials
is in the information below the video. To give it a special touch,
I´ll draw some colorful reflections, on what would be the wall…
they will be like little rainbows, with some orange, yellow,
light blue, dark blue… and maybe some whites. Mixing the yellow and blue
will give us a greenish tone. Some over here… some others over here
… and some just with white. Let´s give it the last touches
and it´s ready! If you enjoyed it, please
give it a LIKE, share it to your friends
and subscribe to Fine Art-Tips. You know where to follow me,
the links are below … and I will see you,
on Tuesday 🙂 Subtitled by Grethel Trejo

its amazing how you make a crystal look real. I'm a jewelry designer, and knowing the shapes and cuts  of stones, I cant draw them, I would like to know how you make the piece "stand out" (3d) and look real… Im learning a lot from your tutorials. I'm starting to draw some faces and poses now and hope to soon draw jewelry too…
    Thanks…
P.S. (i can share with you some photorealistic
jewelry renderings if you ever need them as a reference)
