How to Draw a Seascape With Girl in Color Pencils

Hello my friends and welcome
to another Tuesday of tutorial. I am Leonardo Pereznieto and
I’m so glad to see you again. I have been asked many times
to draw something with color pencils and I have also been asked insistently
to do a tutorial that is very simple to realize. So I’m going to take those two petitions and today we will draw something
really simple with color pencils. We can start by doing the outline of the figure. We may do this with pencil as it is much easier
to erase in case we make any mistakes. She’s going to be inside the water,
so we also draw a reflection. Very lightly, we apply some blue to the farther areas. Then we color with orange,
living blank the area behind the girl. And we darken with purple. The light behind her goes with yellow. To smudge I’ll use a felt pad. I didn’t find this at an art store, it is actually one of those things
sold to stick under the objects so they don’t scratch the tables or the floors. I’ll use a sepia, that is a dark brown, for the figure,
since it is going to be with a backlight. I start doing some waves with purple and then some light reflections with yellow and orange. If you draw with blue over the yellow, or the orange,
you will get green, which I don’t want. That’s why I use the purple or a light violet. And then for the areas of the sea
where there is no yellow, we may use the blue. We smudge a little bit more
with our new device, really high tech. [laugh] Let’s continue filling in with different tones
including some light blue on the reflexions. The last strokes and it is ready! Please let me know what do you think about it. If you enjoyed it, please, give it a like
and subscribe to my channel. You can follow me now also on Instagram
