How-to use the HomeRight Power-Flo Pro 2800 Paint Sprayer

Take your house from this To this in just a weekend with the power flow Pro Save thousands of dollars painting your house yourself and do it quickly and easily with the homeright power flow Pro The power flow Pro allows homeowners to paint their home like a professional using piston pump technology Before you get started make sure that you keep the manual and read and understand all the safety precautions and warnings So let’s talk about the components you have the sprayer 25 foot Hose spray gun With a 515 spray tip and guard and lubricating oil So let’s talk about some of the features on the actual sprayer itself. Here you’ve got the pressure adjustment knob This is the prime spray knob Power switches right here you have the siphon hose and the return tube, so let’s get the unit ready to paint Before you start painting with your power flo pro you want to flush the unit out So I’ve attached the hose to the base into the spray gun now the tip and guard are off until we flush your unit out First thing you do take the pressure adjustment knob turn it counterclockwise All the way to minimum pressure take the prime spray knob flip it to prime. I plugged the unit into a grounded outlet And then just take the hoses place them in some warm soapy water and turn the unit on to flush it out You notice I turned it on nothing happens. Don’t worry Adjust the pressure adjustment knob up a little bit until you get more pressure The unit will turn on [you’ll] notice after just a few seconds you’ll start to see the water Flush through the unit. We can flush out the gun the knob from prime to spray The unit will stall now you want to take the gun Place it against the bucket and pull the trigger back this will make sure you don’t get any blowback Just flush out the gun Now that the unit’s been flushed out. We can go ahead and prime it There’s still some water left in these tubes, so you want to drain that Now I’ll separate the pickup tube from the return tube the return tube goes back into that water and the pickup tube goes into the paint Now I’ll turn the unit on, you’ll see the paint come into the pump And when you start to see it come into the return tube. We can go ahead and prime the spray gun Now put the return tube Into the paint can snap it in place flip your knob from primed to spray Now we’ll go ahead and clear the spray gun and we’ll be set to paint paints coming through Now we’re ready to [assemble] the tip and get to painting before you assemble the tip make sure your trigger lock is on Now we’ll assemble the spray tip. You have the guard, the tip and the saddle seal You’ll see there’s an installation tool on that tip [and] when you install that Saddle seal you want to make sure that the contour is line up so that when you place the tip in Everything will line up perfectly Now we’ll put it on the [spray] gun The important thing for tightening. This is you just want to hand tighten it. No wrench is needed We’re set to start painting the unit is turned on the pressure adjustment knob is set all the way high to the highest setting The prime spray knob is set to spray, and I’ve got a piece of cardboard over here just to practice Once you get the proper spray pattern you’re ready to begin your project Hold the spray gun twelve to fourteen inches from the surface at the end of each stroke release the trigger It’s best to move the spray gun perpendicular from side to side overlapping the previous Pattern by 50% Once you’re done painting and you’re out of paint. It’s time to clean the unit. So here’s the process First thing you want to do is make [sure] [that] your trigger is in the lock [position] Turn the pressure adjustment knob all the way down to the lowest setting and then turn your spray prime knob to prime That will release the pressure and just push the trigger make sure there’s no extra pressure now remove the spray tip and guard and [we’ll] put that in a separate container to clean a little bit later now To clean the hoses put them in a five-gallon container with warm soapy water best way to clean up latex Turn the unit on run it for about [fifteen] or [twenty] seconds until the hoses run clear To clean out the hose and the spray gun turn the knob from prime to spray Turn the unit on and spray into an empty Five-gallon container you also want to make [sure] that the spray guard tip and Seat seal are all cleaned you can just use a small brush to clean those And finally you want to inspect the filter and clean that Inside the spray gun and [we’ll] access that just remove the hose pull the handle back Use the small wrench to loosen up the handle and the filter just snaps into place just [remove] that inspect it for any damage and again use that small brush clean it up? And reinstall it One last thing to do [everytime] when you’re done using your unit, make sure it’s lubricated here’s how 10 to 12 drops of oil go right in the oil hole back here And now your units ready to be stored I’m Sarah and my husband and I painted our whole house it saved us thousands of Dollars doing it ourselves it made our novice abilities more like a professional Absolutely recommend the HomeRight products to my friends to neighbors [so] many of our neighbors have actually commented on how good the house turned out

Thanks for your question, with the Power-Flo Pro you shouldn't have to use thinner.

This is supposed to be easy and only take "one weekend"? Geez, I'm exhausted just watching this video. And you skipped the time each process took with editing! It would probably take all weekend just to mask off stuff around the house, and another 3 weekends to scrape and prepare the surface.

Hi Aria, I appreciate your concern about it taking more than a weekend. You are right it does take some time to prepare the surface for painting. However, we found while painting this particular house that it was much faster than painting it by hand with a paint brush. We did actually finish the project within 2 days with 3 people working on the project. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Of course it would be faster a paintbrush – it's a sprayer, that's the point. But for the homeowner trying to tackle a big project like painting the house by themselves, it's false advertising to say "if you have this spray tool, you can finish re-painting your whole house in a single weekend!" That's just going to make people disappointed in the product when they expect miracles. And having a crew of three skilled people will make the work fly, but was never mentioned in the video or claims.

You should actually buy the unit before you back the product. I have, and after hours of frustration with this cheap, terribly inconsistent sprayer, I will be returning it. And FYI, I remodel houses for a living… there isn't a couch in sight. Guess you can't expect $700 worth of pro quality tool for a $70 price tag!
