Installing Arduino Uno software on Windows and running your first sketch

This video is about how to install Arduino Uno software on Windows and run your first sketch. You can find the
software at arduino.cc and we need to go to download and then click on the Windows Installer. To save the file and then wait for it to download thats the file downloaded, so we just need to click on
the file and yes and click on I agree. We are going to install the USB driver along with the software and this is where I want to put it and we would like to install the device driver so click
on install and thats the software installation completed plug in the Arduino to the
USB port Windows device driver will now install
showing you the com port run the Arduino software set the board to Arduino Uno and set the correct com port now we can upload an example sketch called blink the Blink sketch is quite simple, all it does is to turn digital pin 13 on and off repeatedly. Now on the Uno pin 13 is connected to an on-board
LED and so when the sketch is uploaded the LED blinks first you will see the transmit and
receive lights flash as the sketch is uploaded, followed by the LED blinking we can increase the speed of the blinking by decreasing the value of the delay now the LED is blinking faster if you increase the delay then the LED
will blink slower once the sketch is uploaded you can see that the LED blinks slowly.. That’s the

Hello! I'm having issue with my arduino uno. It was working OK couple days ago. But now it has problem with uploading. When I try to upload, first it stuck at uploading, after a while it gives quite a long error message starts with
    Problem uploading board,
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x2c
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding…………….etc. I tried almost all the tricks and instructions online such as reset button. None of them didn't work. I'm sure that my ports and other options for Arduino UNO are correct. When I connect my arduino to computer I hear the device insertion sound, also yellow(L) and green(ON) lights of the arduino board are on. I reinstalled software. And when I connect arduino it has installed the port automatically which means board and computers' connection is OK. Also when I connect my arduino board to motor driver, my stepper motor is working with the code which I uploaded previously. How can I fix it? Please tell me if there is other way.

Thank you very much!!!! Having problems installing on 8.1 and you walked me through it first time around. FYI  8.1 does identify the board and the com port automatically.
