Pastel Highlighters Comparison

Pastel Highlighters Comparison Highlighters are essential for annotating books and documents, color coding, and taking notes If you want words to stand out but can’t stand the neon brightness of most highlighters pastel highlighters are the perfect solution Recommendations A wide color range is important for those who color code. We recommend Zebra Mildliners which have the largest range of colors Books and Bibles are often printed on thin paper that is very susceptible to bleedthrough We recommend the Pilot FriXion Highlighters for both On the other hand, textbooks are usually printed on glossy paper that does not absorb inks quickly, making fast-drying highlighters essential The Kokuyo Beetle Tip Dual Color Highlighters have a fast dry time of three seconds, making them perfect for this job When highlighting handwritten notes, it’s all too easy to smudge the ink The Stabilo Boss Highlighter is best for this purpose. It had the least smearing of all the highlighters we tested Keep watching to see a comparison of eight different pastel highlighters We’ll show you how each highlighter performs with printed text, the Uni-ball Signo gel pen, and the Pilot Acroball Ballpoint Pen We’ll also demonstrate how much each highlighter shows through on copy paper The Iconic 2 Way Highlighters come in 15 colors, five of which are pastel They’re also double-sided with a felt-tip pen on one end. They have mild smearing, dry in ten seconds and have mild showthrough The Kokuyo Beetle Tip Dual Color highlighters have a unique tip that allows you to quickly switch between two different colors There are six colors available in three different highlighters They have high smearing, dry in three seconds and have low showthrough The Monami Essenti Soft Highlighters have a range of twelve colors These highlighters Have a spring-loaded clip that fastens securely to pockets and notebooks They smear quite a bit, dry in 30 seconds, and have mild showthrough The Morning Glory Mach Light Highlighters come in six pastel colors They have mild smearing, dry in five seconds, and have high showthrough The Pilot FriXion Highlighters are easily erasable using the rubber eraser on the highlighter The FriXion Highlighters come in six pastel shades They barely smear, dry in ten seconds and have low showthrough The classic Stabilo Boss Highlighters are also available in six pastel shades They barely smear, dry in five seconds, and have high showthrough A clear plastic window is embedded in the tips of the Uni Propus Window Highlighters allowing you to see all the text you’re highlighting These highlighters come in five pastel colors They’re also double-sided with a thin marker tip on the other side They have mild smearing, dry in ten seconds, and have mild showthrough The Zebra Mildliners are Incredibly popular because of their great color range They’re also double-sided with a fine tipped marker on the other end They barely smear, dry in five seconds, and have mild showthrough We hope this video helped you find your perfect highlighter See all of these highlighters in the description below or at JetPens.com!

I have the stabilo boss pastel but they bleed a lot and smear with gel pens (pilot G-1 0.5) if the ink isn’t dry, it’s annoying as hell but I still love them bc it’s the only thing I have.

I have no idea what I would buy from Amazon. I like the "Kokuyo Better Tip Dual Color" and the "Pilot FriXion erasable" highlighters. Kokuyo is $6.98 and Pilot FriXion is $7.50. I'm going based on their observations and it's so hard for me to choose which one to buy. I like Koyuko because it's very pastel and cheaper, but it has high smearing. And I like Pilot for barely smearing and erasable, but it costs a little more than Kokuyo. Anyone wanna help me choose? Thanks yalls

Hi JetPens! I'm looking for a double-tipped highlighter for highlighting/underlining/decorating notes, I use a 0.3 Pilot G-Tec Gel Pen on sightly thick paper. I'm trying to decide between the Uni Propus and the Mildliners. Which would you suggest?

in Indonesia, we call all highlighters as stabilo because the stabilo highlighter is the most common and popular highlighter ini my country. By the way in my country, one stabilo highlighter is only for 50 cents and for zebra, one is for 1.3 dollar

I have the Stabilo Boss and I don't actually like them all that much 🙁 Which marker has the least excess ink at the end of a line? It bothers me so much as I very often just want to colour in 1 square of 5×5 mm and the whole square ends up being a well of excess marker ink.

I bought some Zebra mildliners and I was excited to write notes with it and my new Muji pens. When I was at school my Muji pen had smeared when I used my mildliner. I was kinda upset bet hey they’re really nice.

I liked this video but…this was not a fair comparison.
Zebra Mildliners only have FIVE pastel highlighter colours, yet sampled here was 15. You might as well start sampling other highlighters too like Q-Dry or whatever if it’s not even a video strictly on pastel…

Pilot FriXions are great but they have one glaring issue: the ink very clearly and visibly COVERS the underlying text. My black ink loses its vibrancy underneath FriXion ink, ultimately making the text 'pop' less to me… Shame!

A better test with the copy paper would have been to test out a few more colours because darker colours tend to have more bleed or show through.

I love the FriXion because when I am highlighting a book, the glob of ink left at the end of the line just annoys me terribly. With these, I just let them dry and erase the glob. They're great!

The colour 'solidity' and overall aesthetic quality made me go for the Stabilo Boss Pastel highlighters, and they actually don't bleed that much when you turn over the paper but they do leave teeny tiny ink pools at the end of a highlight. Hope this helped ^^

If you want everything mild, use the Iconic 2 Way Pastel highlighter.
If you want a quick dry highlighter, use the Kokuyo Beetle Tip Dual Sort Color highlighter.
If you don’t like quick dry highlighters, use the Monami Essenti Soft highlighter.
If you like highlighters where you can see how much ink is left, use the Morning Glory Mach Light highlighter.
If you like erasable highlighters, use the Pilot FriXion Light highlighter.
If you’re interested in wide highlighters, use the Stabilo Boss Pastel highlighter.
If you like highlighters where you can see where you’re highlighting, use the Uni Propus Window Soft highlighter.
If you’re a color lover, use the Zebra Mildliners.

Edit: THANKS FOR THE HEART!!! 😍😍😍

It's my only brand of highlighters that do NOT smear LAMY FOUNTAIN PEN INK, and that says a lot for those who use Lamy Pens.

guys, if ur STILL CONFUSED (because u r dumb), lemme help ya. basically the Zebra Mildliner Double-Sided Highlighters, and Uni Propus Window Soft Highlighters ARE THE BEST.
    why?
    because……
    #1: they are bleed-proof
    #2: double-sided
    #3: they don't smear!
but there's one reason why the zebra midliner is better; cos it dries in 5 secs, versus the uni propus takes 10 secs!
the rest is UR opinion cuz:
-Uni Propus WIndow Soft Highlighters, have a clear window, so u can see where ur highlighting
    VS
-Zebra Midliner DOuble-Sided Higlighters have a bigger color range
    Hope this helps! 😉

They're all pretty but there aren't any reviews out there that tell you enough about their longevity. As a medical student i can say that frixion doesnt last for shit. I go through two of the same color in a month. Stabilo boss/swing cool lasts A LONG TIME but bleeds heavy when it's new although i found out that if you keep using it you'll see that the bleed through isn't as bad as when it was brand new
