Holy Shit i wanetd to draw a mural for Crimson king . And i just realised where the idea for having teh scene esplode out of a characters head came to me. Thank you
Perhaps you should spend some time learning about confirmation bias, what it is and how it affects your thinking, before you make a video telling people how they are ‘supposed’ to experience art.
Confirmation bias. That’s all this is. There’s nothing meaningful here about the art. It’s all about you. 🤷♂️👌😉.
No one knows what Sorates looked like and to say that he was a Greek it doesn't automatically mean that he was white. Africans settled Greese long before whites did.
Implying that a 70 year old man cannot be muscular… Talk about projecting contemporary values and norms into the past.
People didnt always sit around vegetating in their later years, and still don't. It is easy to find examples from contemporary society MORE muscular than this depiction. And you mention it more than once.
Does the soft Eire tune in the background have a name ? I would really like to listen to it eve tough it seems that those are just long notes on a piano
……."BRAVO""""!!!!!….MY FRIEND!!!…!!!!!#IYOU HIT A DEEP COMPASSION IN ME….im homeless livin in van…..good call on all your perceptions….."wow"…..your interesting!!!….. You moved me……
The statuesque style of the people in this painting suggests that each one of Socrates friends and Socrates himself is a principal of Philosophy rather than simply a Philosopher and that the group is as immortal as the stone we would use to carve into their form as statues. Ancient Greece laid out the principals of Philosophy, of debate, of truth, of argument it is a pity that it all was overcome by the rhetoric (also developed in Ancient Greece) that we still observe is the main part of Politics even today. If Truth and the Love of Truth had of been made more powerful and moving than rhetoric in Politics, perhaps then all people would be wise now in contemporary times instead of sheep being led to wage slavery and voting against their own best interests.
Bravo! I love the alternate perspectives I've heard over the years. I've always interpreted it as Plato dreaming the historical event backward, like a memory he never witnessed- "reading" it left to right, as you said. Either way, great content. Cheers!
I feel like art is not like a car.. it is not automotive, I don’t believe there is a way nor there should be a “how to read art." With its schooling system, the west has absorbed the soul from creativity. Through it’s rigid and also forceful way of perceiving things, the west always has to be right. its not good or bad thing.. just sharing an opinion (if permitted)
