Timelapse Painting Process Video: Boy in a Field | Watercolor and Colored Pencils

Hi, everyone! If you were waiting on my latest video last
Friday, I’m very sorry that I had to disappoint and keep you waiting. My internet was really slow these past weeks
and we finally got around to calling for a technician to come and check it out and have
it repaired. So video uploads were almost impossible before
that. Which is why I had to settle for a really
short one this week as a longer video would have taken me forever to upload . Anyway, hopefully the problem is fixed and
I will be able to queue up my videos and get them uploaded more easily in the days to come. So here is my latest watercolor sketchbook
journal entry – A Boy In A Field. This again is based on a reference photo,
the link to which is in the description. I kept the background really wet and loose
and just tightened in on the details when it came to the boy. And I used some colored pencils for more control
with the little details. I really like how this turned out all bright
and colorful and cute. And if you have questions about my process
for this piece, please let me know in the comments below. So what else have I been up to this week? Like I’ve said I’ve been planning a bigger
project – more to do with surrealism and fantasy themes and still looking at some ideas
before I get started on that but the videos for that I will probably be sharing in later
months possibly in the second half of the year. But for more real time updates you can follow
me on my Instagram and Facebook accounts where I share my photos of works in progress and
finished pieces ahead of posting the art process videos on YouTube. For June, which is coming up next week, I’ll be uploading a few more tutorial videos
for beginner watercolorists and I’ll be going back to some more basic exercises for you to follow
along. And I might start uploading twice in a week
so that I have Fridays for my artblog, my sketchbook entries and personal projects and
then tutorials on a different day. Anyway, nothing concrete just yet, as you
can probably tell, I’m still figuring out this YouTubing business, but thank you to
all of you who have been sticking with me despite all my fumblings and failings. And this is almost finished, let me know what you guys think of the painting or if you have any questions, again, you can leave them in the comments section below. And also, I would really appreciate a like
and a share if you think my artwork is worth
sharing, and if you’ve been enjoying it. Or follow me on one or all of my social media networks. It really helps circulate my artwork when
you guys do that. And thank you to all of you who have been showing
your support. Thanks for watching! And I’ll see you in the next video. Bye!
